Seed tapes make sowing easy as pie: sow, water, let grow. Prepare the seed band thoroughly. Dig 1-1.5 cm (0.4-0.6 in) deep grooves into crumbly ground. Separate the seed tapes at the perforation. Put a single seed tape into each groove and cut to desired length. Fix the tape by covering the edges slightly with soil. Important: water the tapes well when still open to establish a good contact between tape and soil. Fill up the grooves and press the soil on thoroughly. Water a second time. You don't have to thin the plants, but see that the soil doesn´t dry up and regularly loosen up crusted soil with a garden claw or a grubber.
