Physalis-Früchte lassen sich gut trocknen

Ab Mai scheinen die unscheinbaren gelblich-grünen Blüten. Aus dem Blütenkelch bildet sich zur Reifezeit ein orangeroter Lampion. In seinem Inneren entwickelt sich eine kirschgroße, orange Frucht (nicht essbar).
Die Lampions sind sowohl am Stiel, als auch lose beliebt in der herbstlichen Dekoration. Im Beet und in ausreichend großen Kübeln sehr attraktiv. Staude, die mit der Zeit Ausläufer bildet. Höhe ca. 60 - 100 cm.

Kaltkeimer, die Samen sollten vor der Aussaat 6-8 Wochen im Kühlschrank liegen oder bei Saat November die Saatkiste über Winter ins Freiland stellen. Nach der Kälteperiode erfolgt die Keimung binnen etwa 3 Wochen bei 22 ° C.
