Bimbo F1 ist eine uniforme, sehr frühe Hybridsorte im Typ Gelbe Kanarische Honigmelone. Bimbo F1 ist von mittlerer Wuchskraft, resistent gegen echten Mehltau und Virus. Die Früchte werden etwa 2 bis 2,5 Kg schwer, das Fruchtfleisch ist weiß. Auf dem Feld kann man den Früchten dieser Sorte ein paar Tage mehr geben um sicher zu sein, dass sie reif sind. Auch nach der Ernte überzeugen die Früchte mit einer sehr guten Haltbarkeit.

  • Cucumis melo
  • Die Ernte erfolgt in warmen Lagen ab Mitte Juli
  • Melonen ranken mäßig und benötigen etwa 1-2 qm je Pflanze
  • 1 Portion = 10 Korn

Beste Resultate bringen eine Vorkultur mit Aussaat ab Anfang April im Gewächshaus, mit anschließender Pflanzung. Im Freiland freuen sich Melonen über eine Mulchfolie

Die Aussaat erfolgt im Haus ab Anfang April bei 24-28 ° C direkt mit 1-2 Korn in den kleinen Topf, die Töpfe nicht zu feucht halten, oder ab Mitte Mai in warmer Lage ins Freiland

Mögliche Schädlinge: Läuse, Mäuse, echter Mehltau
