Schön gezeichnete Spezialität aus Italien

Eine italeinische Traditionssorte mit schönen, gleichmäßigen Rüben, die aufgeschnitten mit ihren weißen Ringen sehr dekorativ aussieht. Das Fruchtfleisch von Tonda di Chioggia ist recht süß. Die Rüben sind außergewöhnlich lagerfähig.

  • Beta vulgaris
  • Die Ernte erfolgt als Bete etwa 60 bis 70 Tage nach der Saat
  • 1 Portion reicht für etwa 100 Pflanzen
  • Das TKG beträgt ca. 13 Gramm

Die Aussaat erfolgt von April bis Juli ins Freiland, dünn in Reihen säen, für Rüben im Abstand 25-40 cm und in der Reihe etwa 10 cm oder vereinzeln, als Pflücksalat 15-20 cm und in der Reihe fortlaufend im Abstand 10 cm, nach der Keimung auf einen Sämling vereinzeln

Hübsch zweifarbig gefärbte Bete, sieht aufgeschnitten sehr dekorativ aus,
Aber leider kaum Geschmack und die Farbe verliert sich beim Kochen. Die Kultur war auch nicht einfach und die Knollen sehr unterschiedlich groß. Werde wieder zu den Einfarbigen wechseln.
