Ein beliebtes japanisches Küchenkraut
Sukkulentes, von Natur aus salziges, in der japanischen Küche viel verwendetes Würzkraut. Salzkraut ist recht genügsam, kommt mit wenig Wasser und Nährstoffen aus. Geerntet und verwendet werden die jungen Triebe. Man kann sie dünsten oder als Würze im Salat verwenden.
Salzkraut ist wüchsig, Folgesaaten sind empfehlenswert. Eine Kultur im Topf ist problemlos möglich.

- Portion reicht für ca.: 100 Pflanzen
Aussaat : Im Frühbeet ab März, im Freiland ab Mai bis August, Kultur in Töpfen ist gut möglich bei 16 bis 25 ° C.
Salzkraut ist eng verwandt mit dem italienischen Agretti, auch als Mönchsbart bekannt (Salsola soda). Das Salzkraut der Art komarovii wächst aber filigraner und kompakter
