Aus Westafrika stammt diese interessante Eierfrucht ursprünglich

Diese Form der Solanum/Auberginen ist vor allem an der Elfenbeinküste ein beliebtes Gemüse, doch hier ist der Zierwert der Früchte im Herbst besonders hervorzuheben. Die runden, an Kürbisse erinnernden Früchte färben sich von Grün nach rot.Auspflanzen ab Mitte Mai in warme Lagen, Anbau im Gewächshaus gut möglich. Ernte ab Ende August. Verbesserte Selektion unserer Melany. Diese Spezialität wird auch Kürbis am Stiel genannt.

  • Solanum aethiopicum
  • Pflanze wächst etwa 60-80 cm hoch und kompakt.
  • Hübsche, auch haltbare Dekofrüchte
  • 1 Portion reicht für etwa 20 Pflanzen

Aussaat mit Vorkultur ab Ende Februar Pflanzung in Gewächshaus oder Freiland ab Mai. Pflanzung auf Mulchfolie bringt zusätzliche Wärme in kalten Lagen.
