Eine großfrüchtige gelbe Tomatillo

Amarylla ist eine, mit bis zu 5 cm großen und 30-40 g schweren Früchten, recht groß ausfallende Tomatillo. Tomatillos sind anspruchslose, einfach zu kultivierende Pflanzen, die auf fast jedem Boden zurecht kommen. Nicht ganz vollreif geerntet bringen sie einen frischen und herzhaften Geschmack in Chutneys und Salsas. Amarylla eignet sich mit ihrer Fruchtgröße auch als Vorspeise, Ausprobieren lohnt hier sicherlich.

  • Physalis ixocarpa
  • Die Ernte erfolgt im Freiland ab Anfang August, sobald die eigentlichen Früchte durch die papierartige Hülle stoßen.
  • 1 Portion reicht für etwa 40 Pflanzen

Die Aussaat erfolgt ab Ende Februar bis Ende März bei 20-25 ° C mit warmer Vorkultur im Haus

Tomatillopflanzen können recht wuchtig werden. Durch einmaliges Stutzen bekommt man standfestere Pflanzen. Der Pflanzabstand sollte 75 x 75 cm betragen. Eine Kultur im Gewächshaus ist möglich.
