Eine sehr schöne, gleichmäßig große Butternut des dunklen Typs, der deutlich carotinhaltigeres Fruchtfleisch enthält als die hellen Typen. Valencia bildet gut geformte, etwa 0,7 bis 1 Kg schwere Früchte. Die dunklen Butternuttypen sind etwa 15 Tage später als die hellen und sollten stets vorkultiviert und nur an warme Stellen gepflanzt werden. Valencia hat eine bessere Lagerfähigkeit als Beja oder Sonca.
