Populäre Sorte mit gutem Geschmack

Tuffy ist eine bereits ältere, reinerbige Sorte, die wegen ihres außergewöhnlichen Geschmacks neben den vielen Hybridsorten weiterhin sehr populär ist. Sie bildet an kurzen Ranken dunkelgrüne, schön geformte Eichelkürbisse, die zum garen und auch gefüllt beliebt sind. Das Fruchtgewicht liegt bei etwa 900 Gramm. Acorns werden in den USA auch halbiert im Ofen gegart und mit Sirup serviert. Tuffy hat sein bestes Aroma etwa 2 Wochen nach Ernte.

  • Prima zum Füllen und garen geeignet

Kürbisse gedeihen gut auf warmen, durchlässigen Böden, Vorkultur und Pflanzung mit Aussaat ab Ende April oder Direktsaat ab Anfang Mai
