Dekoratives Delikatessgemüse und eine dekorative Blume

Artischocken sind imposante und dekorative Großstauden im Garten. Die Blüten sind dunkelblau und stehen in schönem Kontrast zum grausilbernen Laub. Knospig geerntet sind die Blüten sowohl als Blütenboden, so wie auch die Schuppenblätter ein Delikatessgemüse in der Küche.

  • Im ersten Jahr erfolgt die Ernte ab August, in den Folgejahren ab Juli
  • Aussaattermin: Febr.-März / März-April
  • Eine Portion reicht für etwa 20 Pflanzen

Die Aussaat erfolgt unter Glas von Februar bis März bei 20-22 ° C direkt mit einem Korn in einen kleinen Topf. Die Samen keimen binnen etwa 14-20 Tagen.Sobald die Pflanzen groß genug sind erfolgt die Pflanzung direkt ins Freiland im Abstand von etwa 80 x 80 cm.

Artischocken sind Stauden, die durchlässige Böden mögen. Insbesondere im Winter kann Nässe und Kälte zu Ausfällen führen. Empfehlenswert ist ein Rückschnitt, eine Abdeckung mit Stroh und der Überzug mit einer Folie bis Mitte März. So geschützt, können Artischocken mehrere Jahre überdauern.

Aufgang der Saat sehr unregelm?ssig von 4 K?rnern nur 1 gekeimt. Bei anderen Artischockensorten von anderen Lieferanten war der Aufgang deutlich besser
