Alpha ist eine ausgezeichnete Sorte mit langen, unverzweigten Wurzeln und wohlschmeckendem, zartem Fleisch. Unter den Gemüsearten wird der Gesamtnährwert der Schwarzwurzel nur noch von Erbsen und Bohnen übertroffen. Wird ähnlich wie Spargel zubereitet. Alpha läßt sich leicht schälen
