Eine Spezialität aus dem Schweizer Tessin. Gniff bildet kurz-stumpfe Möhren mit einer Länge von etwa 10-15 cm Länge. Die kurzen Möhren sind aussen Purpur, innen Weiß gefärbt, aufgeschnitten eine sehr attraktive Erscheinung. Beim Kochen verbleicht das Purpur etwas. Gniff läßt sich sehr gut lagern, als Spätsorte sollte sie bis Anfang Juni gesät sein. Im späteren Verlauf der Kultur nochmals ausdünnen, da sie sehr wüchsig ist und viel Laub bildet.

  • Eine Portion reicht für ca. 500 Pflanzen
  • Die Ernte erfolgt ab August bis Oktober

Die Aussaat erfolgt als Direktsaat ins Freiland in Reihen von März bis Juni Saatabstand: Reihensaat, in der Reihe 6-8 cm, zwischen den Reihen 30 cm, notfalls vereinzeln

Möhren lieben sonnige Standorte und leichte und durchlässige, nährstoffreiche Böden.
